MarketingPilot Agency Management System - Job Costing and Profitability
MarketingPilot puts Job costing and profitability at the forefront. MarketingPilot track the Expenses, Purchase Orders, Time slips, Estimates and Invoices for each Job. With MarketingPilot users immediately know which Jobs are profitable and which aren't.
Labor costs are the largest expense incurred by marketing organizations; MarketingPilot provides integrated features to help you calculate and view the true cost of Jobs, including labor.
Work in Process (WIP) MarketingPilot provides automatic Work in Process (WIP) posting. WIP posting enables MarketingPilot to automatically post the value - revenue and expenses - of partially completed jobs to its General Ledger. MarketingPilot automatically credits and debits the General Ledger such that no user intervention is required.
Automatically Track Direct Labor Direct labor is the cost of the time of your employees and staff. MarketingPilot tracks Payroll Expenses and posts them to the General Ledger. However it would be cumbersome and time consuming to have to manually calculate the direct labor costs for each Job and to make accounting entries to track them. MarketingPilot handles direct labor costs automatically by associating an hourly cost with the services provided and tracked on each Time Slip associated with a Job, regardless of whether it is billable or not. Hourly rates can be Job-specific, client -specific, or person-specific.
For example, if a designer posted a Time Slip for 2 hours on a Job, and the hourly cost of the Service is $50.00 then the direct labor associated with the Time Slip would be $100.00.
Standard Cost Items MarketingPilot enables users to create standard items with set costs that can be quickly added to the cost of any job.
Inventory Inventory standard components - paper, film, ink, consumables, etc. MarketingPilot keeps track of their value and stock levels and makes it easy to allocate costs to Jobs.
Reports MarketingPilot enables users to track unbilled expenses for each job and to print a variety of reports to help manage and analyze job profitability.
