System Requirements
The alert service, database server and web server may reside on the same server or on separate servers.

Web Server
Requires a non-dedicated Windows server running 2000 or 2003 running IIS 5.1 or higher and Microsoft .Net 1.1 Build 1.1.4322 or higher. A 128-bit SSL encryption key is recommended if you allow users to access MarketingPilot from outside your firewall. To enable PDF thumbnailing Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard or Professional or higher must be installed on the Web Server to enable access by MarketingPilot users. MarketingPilot is not compatible with Microsoft Sharepoint servers.

Data Base Server

Express Edition
The Express Edition requires a non-dedicated Windows server running Windows XP, Windows Server 2000 or Windows Server 2003. The Express Edition includes the Microsoft SQL Server Express 2005 database. Plan for approximately 1GB of disk space per user.

Microsoft SQL Server Edition Server
The SQL Server Edition requires a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database. Plan for approximately 1GB of disk space per user.

Alert Service
The MarketingPilot Alert Service is a Windows Service that must be installed on a server. To enable email alerts you must provide MarketingPilot with an email address (dedicated or not) and password on an SMTP mail server.

Web Client
Users require a computer with an internet browser such as Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Firefox or Safari.
