- Setup a test site to gain hands-on experience using the Web Server. You may want to allocate 2-4 weeks for this step. This can occur at the same time as technical requirements are being addressed.
- Identify any customization prerequisites.
- Install the Web Server (if you use MarketingPilot on an in-house server); or schedule your conversion if you subscribe to MarketingPilot on Demand.

IT Planning

- Acquire the necessary server hardware and software.
- Check which version of MarketingPilot for Windows is being used. MarketingPilot for Windows Version 9.3 is required to be able to participate in the conversion program; if necessary upgrade to 9.3.
- If your database is larger than 10 GB, compact it to remove excess free space. If your database still exceeds 10 GB, contact your account manager.
- Identify any site-specific customization that has been done. Typical customization includes custom reports, data feeds, integration with other systems, and custom software development. Your account manager can help you determine if any of these items are now standard features in the Web Server or if Web Server customization is required.
